yesterday my grandmother asked me to buy her a pair of shoes just like the ones i was wearing.
which i promptly did. you don't say no to my nanna.
and so now my seventy seven year old grandmother and i have EXACTLY the same pair of shoes.
do you think this says more about my taste or hers?

To answer your question, I think it says a lot about both of you.
You set trends and 'wow' people (I know this because you tell us so), while she is intelligent enough to know it and wants a piece of that action.
